On Friday, January 31 for the 8:00pm show, Medieval Times entices guests to find their inner geek in pursuit of making memories and bringing imagination to life. Doors to the Castle officially open at 6:45pm, and the program begins with a costume contest featuring a $1,000 grand prize for the winning adult’s costume (ages 13+) and a deluxe Medieval Times gift basket for the winning child’s costume (ages 12 & under). All costumes are welcome, and there is no need for costumes to be medieval in nature. All contestants must arrive by 6:45pm in order to be eligible for entry. Celebrity judges include Roy Wooley, two-time Face Off runner-up and Netherworld makeup artist, and Medieval Times’ Head Knight and cosplay genius, Jason Jones.

In hopes of welcoming fans of fiction, Medieval Times offers substantial savings for this special show with All Seats $28 using code 28DCON.  Upgrade packages are additional, but guests in costume will receive a free upgrade to VIP Royalty, while supplies last. I hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas. I felt the need to write this post on Toys R Us’s new android Tabeo e2 Tablet which was supposed to be the next generation of awesome tablets for kids. After conducting weeks of research and reading countless reviews I decided to purchase a set for my two younger sons ages 10 and 7. My primary reason for the purchase was to one provide them with educational tablets that in others opinions had been compared to an iPad except this was a less expensive version and more kid friendly. I currently own both an iPad2 and a mini iPad and my kids are on them non-stop conducting research for school, watching kid movies or playing games. I figured this purchase would be a great investment.  First of all these little boogers are not easy to find. I searched for over a month trying to locate these devices. I had to travel to multiple counties here in Atlanta to finally get my hands on two of them. Ok lets fast forward to Christmas Eve night. I was  already up super late playing Santa Claus and imagine how disappointed I was when I plugged the devices in to charge and two hours later attempted to complete the parental information on the tablet. The tablets will not work if you do not complete the parental information and the issue that I was having is that the tablet would not load. UGH!!! Not to mention that I purchased two and neither one of them worked correctly. I gave the tablets try after try to no avail did neither one of them work. Needless to say that I was livid! So the kids never knew that they had them and I returned then to Toys R Us on the day after Christmas only to find out from the nice lady at customer service that they have been getting returns on the Tabeo E2 all day. All I could do was say Wow! This tablet gets zero stars from this Mommy!

As a corporate mommy I try to ensure that my kids are exposed to a host of activities. My six year old has been asking for months to go to Gym South to take gymastics. The past months I have been traveling a lot so I promised him once I had time that I would take him. Imagine how he felt when I surprised him with a trial class for the gymnastics teacher to measure where he would be placed in class if I chose to sign him up. The trial class was scheduled at 1:00pm and upon arrival he was taken out on the mats to join over thirty fellow kids. My son has had some experience with the rings from his Martial Arts Class at United Martial Science Federation so we were amazed at his ability to hold him self up and flip for a long period of time. My son went from post to post that included both tumbling and gymnastics. Needless to say that I was one proud mommy because his ability to handle both the rings and high beams was absolutely AWESOME! The gymnastics teacher told me at the end of class that he would start in the Bronze class for a few weeks and then move on to the Silver class.
